Current UK support includes 0% VAT on residential solar PV and battery installs (HMRC zero-rating until at least 2027), the Smart Export Guarantee paying for exported electricity, and — for heat pumps — the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (England/Wales) or Home Energy Scotland Grant + Loan (Scotland). Thermal Guardian typically begins with an initial enquiry via phone or website, followed by a desktop assessment and on-site survey. Ask whether the quote is fixed-price or estimate-only, and confirm what's included (scaffolding, DNO application, commissioning).

Search 'find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk' for the trading name. Look at incorporation date, current status (Active vs Liquidation/Dissolved), most recent accounts filing, and director list. A long-trading limited company with up-to-date accounts is a safer signal than a recently incorporated firm.

Demand peaks April–August across the UK. Booking in autumn or winter often means shorter waits and sometimes pricing flexibility. Installation itself is a year-round activity in most UK weather — the constraint is scheduling, not the season.
